Institution changes its name to cfsbank

SEVEN FIELDS — As of today, Charleroi Federal Savings Bank has changed its name to cfsbank.

The bank has nine branches in Western Pennsylvania, including one on Highpointe Drive in Seven Fields, which it opened in 1998.

The bank hopes that the new name will be easier for people to remember and more modern, said President Neil Bassi.

“We are updating our image to keep pace with the times. Our focus has always been providing our customers with the best products we have; that hasn’t changed,” he said.

The change will be accompanied by a new logo and a website at cfsbank.com where customers can do online banking.

It also will phase in new checks, credit cards, debit cards and ATM cards at no expense to its customers.

The company is based in Charleroi, Washington County, and employs about 80 people.

It was chartered in 1936.
