John “Butch” Wolford Jr., 77, of Prospect, passed away on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022.

He was born on the North Side of Pittsburgh on March 8, 1945, and was the son of the late John Wolford Sr. and Ruth (Velgane) Williams.

John served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was employed as a union electrician through Local 5.

John loved hunting, fishing and camping with his wife and friends. He was also a past Senior Pathfinder.

John was a caring husband, father and son. He was loved and will be forever missed.

John was the beloved husband of Valorie (Leonard) Wolford; father of Thomas Bradley and John Wolford III; grandfather of Devin; and great-grandfather of Brandon, Kingstan, Charles, Kayden, Kaleb and Kaily.

He is also survived by one brother.

John was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol (Weaver) Bradley; and daughter, Carol Bradley.

WOLFORD — All arrangements for John “Butch” Wolford Jr., who died Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, are through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

Burial will be held privately at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
