'Charlotte's Web' musical' set at Comtra
CRANBERRY TWP — The theater at the Comtra Cultural Center is the site of “Charlotte’s Web, the Musical” through March 5.
The musical was adapted by Joseph Robinette with music and lyrics by Charles Strouse based on the book by E.B. White.
Songs include “Who Says We Can’t Be Friends,” a duet between Wilbur and his new-found companion Charlotte, and “Welcome to the Zuckerman Barn,” featuring all the story’s animal characters.
The show is being directed by Brent Rodgers with music direction by Lynne Spatafore.
The cast includes Cassidy Spirk as Charlotte, Zoie Beckas as Young Wilbur, Joelle Pahanish as Wilbur, Miranda Larson as Fern Arable, Janelle Fenoglietto as Martha Arable, Craig Chambers as John Arable, Jeannie Donovic as Edith Zuckerman and Jim Watson as Homer Zuckerman.
Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays plus a matinee at 2 p.m. this Saturday.
