Eight Butler County American Legion baseball players advanced from Saturday's all-star competition at Pullman Park.

East Butler's Nick Rossmiller (P), Ryan Geibel (C), Ryan Armahizer (SS), Bill Coleman (OF), Butler City's Chris Codispot (2B), Ken Rosenbauer (OF), Mars' Zack Bear (1B) and Prospect's Travis McDougal (OF) will next compete at the Region 8 All-Star Showcase June 28 at Berwind Park in St. Marys.

Region 8 consists of seven leagues — Elk, Warren, Clarion, Erie, Butler, Crawford/Venango and Lawrence/Mercer.
