Faye W. Brown
Faye W. Brown of Saxonburg, passed away peacefully at Concordia of Franklin Park on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at the age of 96 after a 4-month illness.
She is survived by her companion of 39 years, Mike Trugan of Valencia, a World War II veteran; five children, Leslie, Linda, Janet, Larry and Timothy; five grandchildren, Laurie, Lisa, Angela, Stephen and Carrie; 10 great-grandchildren, Foster, Rowen, Emery, Penny, Tanner, Parker, Mercedes, Alena, Nevaeh and Nathan; and two great-great-grandchildren, Bella and Baylor.
Born the same year as Queen Elizabeth II, Faye grew up in Tarentum, the next to the youngest of nine children of Edna Mary (Leezer) and James C. Woods.
Faye briefly attended college to be a lab technician in Akron, Ohio.
She married Larry M. Brown during World War II and then they moved to Butler, where she raised her family. After a divorce, Faye moved to Saxonburg, where she lived for 46 years. She worked in Berger’s Market for 14 years.
She loved reading, sewing and gardening, but her most precious accomplishments were her children.
