Monday — Jon E. Papania, 30, of Butler was cited for violating a township ordinance by burning yard waste after 7 p.m. Friday at his home on David Drive.

Thursday — Police charged James R. Conklin, 20, of Evans City with felony drug possession after a March 7 traffic stop turned up nearly 20 grams of marijuana, a scale and other contraband in his car.An expired license plate was the reason a patrol officer stopped Conklin's car at a church parking lot off Route 8. Police smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and suspected Conklin was impaired by drugs, according to court documents.He was later arrested and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Police searched his car and found 19.2 grams of marijuana and other suspected drug-related items, including a scale, grinder, glass smoking pipe and plastic baggies.Conklin eventually admitted to selling marijuana, police said. A blood test showed the presence of marijuana in his system, documents said.In addition to drugged driving, he is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony. Other charges include possession of drug paraphernalia and driving an unregistered vehicle.

6:30 a.m. Monday — A 41-year-old woman reported that she was assaulted while walking in Grove City Memorial Park. She said she struggled with the assailant after he pushed her down from behind.The woman, who police did not identify, was unable to provide a description of the unknown suspect, who ran off. Police said the woman suffered “abrasion type injuries.”

8:08 a.m. Monday — Jacob F. Baehr, 23, of Butler was hurt when a car pulled out in front of the motorcycle he was driving at Mitchell Hill and East Butler roads in Summit Township. The cycle and car, driven by Allison N. Wiles, 24, of Kittanning, collided.Baehr, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Wiles was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.6:45 p.m. Sunday — Christopher A. Chuhra, 33, was arrested after he was found with a stolen handgun at his home on Blue Bell Lane in Brady Township. Police were called to the home after he allegedly threatened two women there.Troopers recovered the Ruger Mark II .22-caliber pistol, according to court documents. Police said Chuhra, who appeared intoxicated, admitted that he drank a case of beer that day.Documents noted that because of his criminal record, he is prohibited by state law to possess a firearm.Chuhra was arraigned on charges of receiving stolen property and illegal possession on a gun, both felonies. Additionally, he is charged with terroristic threats, a misdemeanor, and harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, all summary offenses.He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail, following arraignment.9 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Jennifer H. Coholich, 19, of Allison Park, Allegheny County, crashed over an embankment and into two trees along West Jefferson Road just east of Creek Road in Jefferson Township.Police cited Coholich for driving at an unsafe speed, disregarding traffic lanes and failing to give information after an accident.11:48 p.m. Saturday — Roger R. Wasser Jr., 27, of Cabot was arrested after allegedly assaulting a 24-year-old woman during a domestic dispute at a home on Brose Road in Winfield Township.Wasser was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and he was released on his own recognizance.1:38 a.m. Saturday — Dustin Lee Jardin, 21, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at East Jefferson and Third streets in Butler.11:08 p.m. Friday — Thomas D. Walters, 42, of Irvine, Warren County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his sport utility vehicle collided with a car at Route 68 and Reibold Road in Forward Township. Chelsea R. Supinka, 20, of Cranberry Township was the other driver.3:18 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Amanda J. Borcz, 22, of Butler and Stephany R. Nulph, 20, of Grove City collided at Branchton and Harmony roads in Slippery Rock Township. Nulph, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police cited Borcz for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.7:50 p.m. April 19 — A pickup truck driven by James M. Miller, 59, of Streetsboro, Ohio, rear-ended a car that was stopped at a red light on Route 422 at Eagle Mill Road in Franklin Township. Cindy D. Donaldson, 57, of Streetsboro, a passenger in the pickup, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt.Police cited Miller for driving at an unsafe speed and driving without insurance.Eli J. Nickerson, 20, of Renfrew was driving the car.5:10 p.m. April 16 — A car driven by Samantha E. Kelly, 38, of Slippery Rock and a pickup truck driven by Timothy O. Abshire, 23, of North Canton, Ohio, collided on Route 422 at the Interstate 79 off-ramp in Muddy Creek Township. Police cited Kelly for a lane violation.

6:30 a.m. Saturday — Coty Alan Prichard, 22, of Cooperstown was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed his vehicle on Sunville Road in Oakland Township, Venango County.
