4:16 a.m. Wednesday - A car driven by Crystal Gillespie, 28, of Butler and a car driven by Dereck Wood, 19, of Butler collided on Hansen Avenue.9 p.m. Monday - A car driven by Lindsay Albert, 21, of Butler and a bus driven by Denis Thompson, 59, of Karns City were involved in a rear-end collision.12:17 a.m. Wednesday - Mark Cumberland, 46, of Chicora was charged with driving under the influence after a patrolman pulled him over for a traffic stop.11:44 a.m. Thursday - Tokin Roy, 26, of Butler reported the theft of $1,465 worth of tools from his garage on Marvin Avenue. The garage's padlock was forcibly removed.

4:29 p.m. Wednesday - A vehicle driven by James Mosier, 70, of Chicora, a car driven by William Schwalm, 56, of Butler and a car driven by Steven Hensel, 31, of Butler were involved in a three-vehicle accident on Route 8 at the Evans Road intersection.Mosier's vehicle struck the rear of Schwalm's car, which then struck the rear of Hensel's car. Police report Hensel's and Schwalm's cars were stopped at a red light.Mosier was cited for careless driving.

3:47 p.m. Tuesday - Roger Alan Lutz, 53, of Village Drive, Apt. 1, Evans City, was arrested after police were notified about a reckless driver on Textor Hill Road. Police stopped his vehicle on Harts Road.2:14 p.m. Tuesday - An employee of Smardt Equipment, 22410 Perry Highway, Jackson Township, reported the theft of a Kubota mower from in front of the business. The value of the mower was not reported.8:40 a.m. Sunday - Chad Schooley, 18, of Swain Hill Road, Jackson Township, was traveling north on Route 19 when he lost control of his vehicle and traveled across the highway, crashing into the entrance to the Indian Brave Campground. It was snowing and the road was wet at the time. He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.12:30 p.m. Saturday - The owner of the Wash Me car wash, 184 Perry Highway, Jackson Township, reported someone overnight tried to break into a coin-operated machine. Although no money was taken, damage to the machine is estimated at $800. This was the second attempt to break into the machine in recent months.11:23 p.m. April 1 - Chad Hempfling, 29, of Hempfling Court, Jackson Township, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he failed a field sobriety test. Police had stopped him off Route 19 for a burned-out taillight on his vehicle.

9:45 p.m. Monday - Brian K. Rauch, 31, of West Main Street, Grove City, was arrested by police for a domestic altercation. He was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment of another person, harassment and disorderly conduct.4:30 p.m. Friday March 17 - Police responded to a hit-and-run accident on South Broad Street. A vehicle belonging to Rita Brown, 43, of Applewood Lane, Slippery Rock, was parked on the east side of South Broad Street when a black Ford full-size pickup clipped her driver's side mirror and continued traveling north. Police are investigating the incident.2:34 p.m. Monday March 14 - An accident occurred on Madison Avenue. A truck driven by Walter Richardson, 72, of South Center Street struck the vehicle of Roberta Surrena, 81, of Harrisville, after failing to yield to traffic before making a left turn. Richardson was cited for not using a turn signal and failure to yield when making a left turn. No injuries were reported.
