Kathryn Kovach, 77, of Butler died Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 19, 1930, in Butler, she was a daughter of John and Katherine Homa.

She was a homemaker and formerly had worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory.

Mrs. Kovach was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are three sons, David M. Kovach of Butler, Mark S. Kovach and his wife, Michelle, of Renfrew and Richard P. Kovach of Butler; and three grandchildren, Taylor, Christian and Cameron Kovach. She also is survived by two sisters, Helen Burka of Lyndora and Mrs. Stanley (Mary) Rozanski of Monroeville; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Martin S. Kovach, whom she married May 26, 1956, died Feb. 26, 1996. Two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.

Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
