6:10 p.m. Oct. 23 — A two-car accident occurred at the intersection of East Jefferson Street and Cliff Street.Leanna S. Davis, 18, of Grove City drove through the intersection on Cliff Street and was struck by Carol McCollough, 70, of Chicora who was driving on East Jefferson Street.Police issued a traffic citation to Davis.

10:30 p.m. Tuesday — John D. Marquis, 68, of Slippery Rock struck a deer while he was driving on Route 8 in Clay Township.3:30 a.m. Tuesday — Benjamin Bachinsky, 24, of Slippery Rock was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Police were called to a Harrisville home and found him passed out in his car.

5:56 a.m. Monday — James N. Raisley, 60, of Slippery Rock crashed his car into the back of a vehicle driven by Brian H. Dehaven, 40, of Volant after Dehaven was stopped on the road due to hitting a deer.Dehaven had hit a deer about five minutes before the crash and did not put his hazard signals on.Raisley failed to realize Dehaven was stopped in the right lane and struck the left rear corner of the vehicle.Both drivers were issued traffic citations.

Tuesday — John T. McMillin, 19, was charged with simple assault after he allegedly choked his father, Jack McMillin, in his South High Street home.Jack McMillin told police he was in an argument with his son.The incident occurred less than a week after John McMillin was arrested for a suspected drug-related incident in the home. The teenager was advised at that time not to return to the home.
