Junior Women's Club names new president

Lyric Schnur was recently elected president of the Junior Women's Club of Butler for the 2007-2008 club year.

Other officers include First Vice President Kristen Salina, Second Vice President Lucia Hindman, Secretary Kim Cooper, Treasurer Hollie Stevenson and Assistant Treasurer Nicole Robinson. The theme for the new club year is "Back to Basics."

Schnur joined the club in 2000. During her membership, she has served as first and second vice president, publicity chair and Twilight Magic specialty raffle auction chairwoman. She has also served on several committees.

A financial adviser with Hefren Tillotson, Schnur resides in Butler with her husband, Curtis, and their son.

In addition to the Junior Women's Club, she is a member of the board of the Butler County Junior Miss Scholarship Program and is a Star Gala committee member for Lifesteps.

The club's many projects and fundraisers include its annual Twilight Magic fundraiser, a community Easter Egg hunt and maintaining the Gateway Gardens at Routes 422 and 8.

The club also provides scholarships to high school seniors and to the Butler County Junior Miss recipient.
