Marguerite "Marney" Jane Boyd Haddad, 84, of Brownsville, formerly of Chippewa Township, Beaver County, died Wednesday at her daughter Diane's home.

She was born July 7, 1925, in New Brighton. She was a daughter of the late Gale and Eileen Ostrom Boyd.

She was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church, where she raised her children. They had a home on Shenango Road between the school and the church. Her kitchen became the gathering place for all friends and family and children who scraped knees on the playground or the ball fields or anyone who needed a dose of common sense enveloped in love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Haddad, in 2007; a daughter, Tracy Ann, on Dec. 14, 1968, at the age of six; and a sister, Emma Campbell.

Marguerite is survived by four children: Linda Haddad and her husband, Dr. Ronald Stone, of Pittsburgh; Nancy Haddad of Chippewa Township and her four children, Marguerite "Marney," Tracy, Sam and Jack; Robert and Debbie Yost Haddad of Virginia Beach and their six children, Josh, Zach, Alexandra, Isabella, Eli and Olivia; and Diane Haddad and her partner, Mike Sobocinski, of Brownsville, who cared for Marguerite over the past few years; a sister, Sheryl Wigton of Butler; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

<B>HADDAD </B>— Friends of Marguerite "Marney" Jane Boyd Haddad, who died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the <B>LUTTON CHIPPEWA FUNERAL HOME</B>, 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, www.luttonfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Chippewa United Methodist Church, 2545 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls. Pastor Rodney E. Smith will officiate. Private interment will follow in the Beaver Falls Cemetery.
