7:13 p.m. Friday - A car owned by Shawn McDonald of New Castle Street was hit on the rear driver's side by an hit-and-run driver of a white car on New Castle Street. The unidentified driver fled on 6th Avenue after the crash.11:36 a.m. Friday - A city-owned snow plow driven by William Black Jr., 52, of West North Street hit a handrail at 209 E. Walnut St. when the truck tried to maneuver around a parked vehicle.8:35 a.m. Friday - A hit-and-run accident was reported on Race Street. An unknown driver hit the rear of a parked car owned by John Lipke of Race Street. The impact pushed his car into the rear of another parked car owned by Barbara Hawryliak, also of Race Street.

6:25 a.m. Friday - An unidentified driver of a 1977 Ford F-250 truck left it idling in the parking lot of Nulph's Market on Route 422 in Clearfield Township and went in the store. The truck slipped into reverse, traveled into the road and was hit by a car driven by James Gregor, 42, of Prospect. He suffered a minor injury. His car was seriously damaged. The truck, which had no damage, was driven away.11:52 p.m. Thursday - A car driven by Bradley T. Kamerer, 21, of Cowansville veered out of the southbound lane of Fairmont Road in Fairview Township and hit a northbound car driven by Janet Gibson, 62, of Karns City. There were no injuries. Both cars had moderate damage.Dec. 22 to March 2 - Lenora J. Lowers, 37, of Petrolia was charged with theft for allegedly stealing a check from an unidentified 18-year-old woman, writing it to herself for $200.

9:30 a.m. Friday - John McCauley, 57, of Franklin lost control of his sport utility vehicle on snow covered Route 428 in Oakland Township. The vehicle spun off the road, knocked over a mailbox and hit a utility pole. He was taken by ambulance to UPMC Regional Medical Center in Cranberry Township with minor injuries. Police cited him for driving at an unsafe speed.3:15 p.m. Thursday - State police and Venango County Children and Youth Services are investigating a report of sex crimes involving juveniles in the Frenchcreek Township area. No other information was released.2:53 p.m. Thursday - State police and Venango County Children and Youth Services are investigating a report of sex crimes involving juveniles in the Kennerdell area. No other information was released.5:30 p.m. Wednesday to 8:30 a.m. Thursday - Someone entered the unlocked home of Lester Saeger of Harrisville and stole several prescription drugs and about $30 in coins. The incident is under investigation.

6:30 a.m. Friday - Rene L. Painter, 27, of Worthington lost control of her car on snow-covered Route 3017 and hit a utility pole. She suffered minor neck and back injuries. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.5 p.m. Jan. 12 - Michelle Fulton, 31, of Ford City allegedly stole $600 from the Worthington Sunoco where she worked.
