1 a.m. Thursday — Colleen Hawryliak, 43, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her vehicle struck a flowerbed and gas meter along Old Plank Road.3:27 p.m. Wednesday — Mark Fredenburg Jr., no age given, of Butler was arrested following a disturbance at an Old Plank Road apartment building.Police were called to the building for a report of a loud stereo and a man carrying a sword or pry bar. Officers spotted Fredenburg running out of and back into the building.He was found in the laundry room with a set of brass knuckles. A 26-inch stainless steel sword was also found in the laundry room.Fredenburg is charged with terroristic threats, possession of prohibited offensive weapons, trespass, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.12:40 a.m. Thursday — William Dickerson, 19, of Shinglehouse, Potter County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and underage drinking at Kiester and Harmony roads in Slippery Rock Township.

Tuesday — An unidentified hunter is accused of firing a rifle across a field with the bullet piercing the window of the Route 258 home of Tracy McGuire in Liberty Township, Mercer County.The bullet went into the house and struck a wall, ricocheted and hit a second wall. Damage was estimated at $300. McGuire approached the hunter who identified himself as being from the Mercer area.Police said the hunter is white, about 60 years old with a long, gray beard.The suspect or anyone hunting in the area of McGuire's home just south of Courtney Mill Road between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. is asked to call the barracks at 724-662-6162.
