Rhitorical question: Would you really want to force your uninterested, drug addicted, completely out of touch adult child to raise kids?????? Sometimes family just gets on with business. Kids need TLC everyday, not just when so-called parents feel like it. Sad but true and once a child turns 18, no one can force that person to do squat! Sometimes there truly is no logical explanation for why grown children do what they do, but kids need raised and sometimes taking continual family time to argue and force people, is just not a reasonable option. This is one of those topics where you had to feel the pain before you can comment and know what you are talking about. As a parent with grown children, I feel I am there for them, guide them if they make mistakes and help them out when needed. Unfortunately our kids grow up and do what they think is good for them, we have little say so. Good parenting is wonderful as children grow, but sometimes we have those kids where that just was not enough. I don't believe that the best of the best in even our medical profession can nail the reasons why. We as society that have loved and cared for our children see this generation as more abusive, more nasty, more insensitive, and at times LOUSY parents. Do we keep saying why? Or do we as a society do OUR best and hope these ignorant breeds wise up. I do not know how to comment on welfare money, I did not raise my children on it. I do not believe it is a choice of life, and if the children need it, it should be there for them. I have more faith in our people in charge of distributing food stamps than I see on this web site. I feel the continual complaining about welfare recipients is kind of dumb. If people feel they have a legitimate gripe, they can always write to congress. I believe some of the put downs about welfare are more of a snobbish attitude saying one believes they are better than welfare recipients. We always have the option of writing to congress and voicing the concerns to the appropriate person as opposed to mouthy continual accusations. What i do see is the nation as a whole being allowed to publicly harrass other people. Doing it through the news and newspaper seems to be making it legitimate. I call this legalized harrassement. It almost seems to be the new thing. Before, back in the day, we had to buy inquirer to get the gossippy opinions, today its news. Oh well, thats progression. Have a nice day!!!
