EMLENTON, Venango County — The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton has hired Bruce Goodman as vice president-commercial loan officer.
Goodman will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships in the Cranberry Township, Wexford and Zelienople areas.
He has served as assistant vice president, corporate treasury management officer with Dollar Bank. He has more than 18 years of business experience.
Goodman has a master’s in business administration from Robert Morris University and a bachelor’s from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He lives in Pittsburgh with his family.
Golf league raises record amount
SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — Oakview Ladies Golf League held its 13th annual Breast Cancer Tournament at the Oakview Golf Club, raising $18,000 for the Women’s Imaging Center at Butler Memorial Hospital.
This year’s donation is $2,000 more than last year’s and the most ever raised during the event. The funds will help the hospital update digital mammography equipment at BMH and its outpatient testing sites.
“The constant dedication and support of this group has helped us create a vision of better health for the women of Butler County,” said Peggy Wright, supervisor of the Women’s Imaging Center. “I am inspired that this group has dedicated their efforts toward breast cancer awareness and treatment.”
Since the tournament began in 2000, more than $91,000 has been donated to the imaging center.

WASHINGTON — California (Pa.) University’s government agency coordination office is holding its 25th annual Procurement Opportunities Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Double Tree hotel in Washington, Pa.
Businesses interested in selling products or services to federal, state and local government agencies and contractors will be featured at the fair.

Kodak asks court to end retiree benefits
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Eastman Kodak Co. is asking a bankruptcy court judge to allow it to end retiree medical and other benefits as part of its restructuring.
The company said Wednesday it’s reached an agreement with the court-appointed committee of retirees to pay a total of $650 million in claims and $7.5 million in cash into a fund that could be used for future retiree benefits in exchange for eliminating its current $1.2 billion liability for medical, dental, life insurance and survivor income benefits.
Kodak said the change is essential to emerging successfully from Chapter 11.
