Trinity Living Center

For Trinity Living Center, 2006 was another busy, but fulfilling year.

The management and staff of Trinity Living Center are proud of their accomplishments last year. They continued to update and make improvements, which included a complete facelift for the general lobby and a renovation to the secured Alzheimer unit on the second floor.

In addition to the general renovations, Trinity also opened several theme rooms in the personal care section of the building, otherwise known as pavilion suites. The theme rooms are decorated in different styles to suit the individual tastes of each resident.

The management and staff maintain their commitment to providing exemplary care to all by preserving the individuality of each resident.

Trinity Living Center also held several major events in 2006. In early February, members of the Grove City High School football team, cheerleading squad and band held a pep rally for residents before the Steelers played in Super Bowl XL.

In May, during the celebration of National Nursing Home Week, Trinity hosted its annual senior prom which allowed residents to attend a dance similar to their high school prom. Many of the female residents received makeovers prior to the dance and dressed up as they did for their prom years before.

The facility also hosted the third year of TLC Rocks in September, which featured residents rocking in chairs to raise money for medical missionaries in Sudan.

Improving the education and competency of the staff was a primary goal in 2006. Four nurses and one nursing assistant sought higher education in their field. Numerous educational programs were also provided to staff to maintain and improve their skills and competencies.

In addition to hands on training, the staff benefited from the computer based training of Silverchair Learning software.

Trinity Living Center continues to be an active member of the community by supporting events in the chamber of commerce, the Rotary Club, the Grove City School District, the Grove City Revitalization Program, the Street Fair, and the Harrisville Little League.

There are many plans in the works for 2007. One such plan is to systematically remodel patient rooms in the nursing unit to continue the modernization of the facility without causing any disruption to residents.
