Ruth Craig

Ruth Craig of Chicora will celebrate her 95th birthday with family at her home.

The former Ruth Holben was born June 6, 1923, at the family farm in Chicora. She married the late Robert “Sparky” Craig on Aug. 11, 1943.

She has seven children, Dennis Craig, Ed Craig, Fred “Spike” Craig, Janis Reeves and Tyra Francis, all of Chicora; Brenda Mazzotta of Mars; and the late John Craig.

She also has 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, Craig owned and operated the Silverside Pool in Chicora for many years.

She is a member of Chicora United Methodist Church.
