The Butler boys youth lacrosse team recently opened the 2007 season with a 14-6 win over Peters Township.

Nick Whann and Clay Bachman each scored three goals and added an assist.

Ben Tackett and Tanner Kotch each scored twice, and Mike Wint, Jake Harrison, J.J. Raub and Chandler Harvey each scored once.

Butler used a trio of goalies: Trevor Monteleone, Zach Irion and Nathan Fehl. The group combined to make 10 saves.

Butler plays at Seneca Valley on Tuesday.
