Plunkett

Maxine J. Plunkett, 82, formerly of Evans City, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday.

Born Dec. 29, 1926, in Indiana Township, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of the late Max J. and Amy (Cline) Caylor.

Maxine was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City, where she had been a past trustee. She also served on the Area of Aging Board for nine years and on the Legislative Committee for AARP. Maxine was a member and past board member of the Evans City Historical Society. She also was a judge of elections for Evans City for 15 years and a member of the zoning board and tax assessor for Evans City.

In addition, Maxine worked at Citizens National Bank in Evans City.

She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and belonged to the Grand Cross of Colors in Rainbow Girls.

She loved line dancing, clogging and especially her family.

Maxine's family extends sincere thanks to those at Grove Manor in Grove City for their kindness and wonderful care.

She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Davidson and her husband, John, of Slippery Rock, Amy Rape and her husband, Jay, of Alabama, and Nancy Woodward and her husband, Jerry, of Greensburg; a sister, Marilyn Caylor of Mars; and four grandchildren, Jessica Weaver, Karrie Sebring, Eric Davidson and Brian Davidson. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Plunkett, who died Dec. 21, 1999; her grandson, Adam Hawkins; two sisters, Margaret Fehl and Cecil Trugan; and a brother, Wallace Caylor.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople where a memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. John C.
