11:15 p.m. Thursday - A pickup truck driven by John Smith, 39, of Bay Village, Ohio, skidded on an ice patch on Route 268 in Allegheny Township, traveled up an embankment and flipped onto its roof. Smith, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken with moderate injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City.6:30 a.m. Thursday - A car driven by Steven Graham, no age given, of Butler skidded on an ice patch on Rimp Road in Summit Township and rolled onto its side. Graham, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered undisclosed injuries.9:30 p.m. Wednesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Tammy Osborne, 20, of Slippery Rock struck a utility pole along Benbrook Road in Center Township. Osborne was cited for driving too fast for conditions.8:48 p.m. Wednesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Susan Burkhart, 47, of Saxonburg skidded on an ice patch on Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township and struck a fence. Burkhart, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.7:30 p.m. Wednesday - Kevin Smith, 42, of Karns City was arrested and charged with violating a protection from abuse order by telephoning his victim. Smith is in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.2:30 p.m. Wednesday - A tractor-trailer driven by Erwin Frasen, 47, of Ontario, Canada, struck a tree, newspaper box, gas meter and light post along Lauer Lane in Winfield. Police said Frasen, who did not stop following the crash, was later cited for accidents involving damage to unattended property.Nov. 29 - Allegheny Mineral Corp. of Kittanning reported that someone entered a storage trailer at a job site at 102 Van Dyke Road in Marion Township and removed various tools, valued at around $1,000.Nov. 24-28 - Several buses at Portersville Christian School were broken into and items stolen from them. Police said first aid and fluid clean-up kits, a red five-pound fire extinguisher, a roll of paper towels, a box of tissues and several pairs of gloves were taken. Total estimate for the stolen property is $300.
3:30 p.m. Wednesday - A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 422 and Route 66 in Manor Township resulted in minor injuries for one of the drivers.Police said a car driven by Jamie Crissman, 30, of Kittanning collided with the rear end of a car driven by Juliette King, 64, of Kittanning. Both were wearing seatbelts and Crissman was taken to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. She was later released.
Nov. 27 - Police charged Brandy Lee Grossman, 20, of 138 S. North St. with underage drinking after responding to a disturbance at her home.Nov. 23 - Kathy Fiedler, 18, of 615 S. Center St., left a threatening message to one of the employees at Dam Good Wings. Fiedler was cited for harassment.Nov. 19 - Tammy Veltre, 40, of 217 Browntown Road, Harrisville, was headed westbound on West Main Street when a 12-year-old girl ran into the street without looking. The driver was not faulted. The girl was flown to an unknown hospital in Pittsburgh with injuries to her head and left leg. Police did not identify the girl.
