Betty Rose Milliken Serafine, 84, of West Slippery Rock Road, Chicora, died Tuesday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 7, 1923, in Templeton, she was the daughter of Labana and Lotie Bish Jack.

She had worked at the Mushroom Mines and enjoyed crocheting and sewing.

Mrs. Serafine was a member of the Montgomeryville Baptist Church in Adrian.

Surviving are her husband, Victor C. Serafine, to whom she was married for 31 years; two sons, Barry Milliken of Butler and Mark Milliken of Adrian; three stepsons, Victor Serafine Jr. of Karns City, Michael A. Serafine of California and Kevin J. Serafine of Ohio; a stepdaughter, Valerie McElroy of West Sunbury; five grandchildren; and nine step-grandchildren.

She also is survived by a brother, Robert Jack of Adrian; and two sisters, Uda Wolfe of Kittanning and Ruby Jack of Pittsburgh.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nelson Milliken; two brothers, Wallace and Neil Jack; and two sisters, Iona Hughes and Allene Benson.

<B>Serafine</B> — Friends of Betty Rose Milliken Serafine, who died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home</B>, Cowansville. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Montgomeryville Baptist Church, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Toy officiating. Burial will be at Law Haven Burial Estates.
