Roy V. Orvis, 76, of Kittanning died Friday at the ACMH Hospital, Kittanning.

Born June 26, 1930, in Hillsboro, Ill., he was the son of Ralph Sr. and Eula Clifton Orvis.

He retired from Magnetics in East Butler after 27 years and served in the Navy with the 6th Fleet during the Korean War.

Mr. Orvis attended the Worthington Baptist Church.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Pauline Hollenbaugh Orvis, to whom he was married for 55 years; two sons, Stanley J. and Wayne L. Orvis, both of East Brady; four grandsons; four sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

ORVIS — Friends of Roy V. Orvis, who died Friday, May 11, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Worthington Baptist Church, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Simpson officiating.
