Sheptak 50th anniversary
Steve and Karen Sheptak of Butler celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise family dinner Aug. 4 at Rachel's Roadhouse.
Sheptak married the former Karen Kalinik on Aug. 3, 1968, at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Monessen.
They are the parents of Charissa Martin of New York City and Stephen Sheptak of Butler.
They have six grandchildren.
Sheptak is the owner of Sheptak Advertising and works at Home Depot and Rural King.
Mrs. Sheptak also is owner of Sheptak Advertising.Both are members of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church.Mrs. Sheptak is president of the parish, a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox League and the St. Mary Magdalene Ladies Guild, and local liaison to the Orthodox Christian Fellowship at Slippery Rock University.Her husband is a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox League and past president of the parish and of the AM Rotary Club.
