Lillian G. Neff, 84, of North Oakland, Chicora, died at 1:17 p.m. Sunday at her home following an illness.

Born in Oakland Township, July 20, 1924, she was the daughter of Leo and Flora Forquer Benson.

She had worked for the egg plant and then for Castle Rubber, both in East Butler, until she married in 1949.

She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North Oakland.

Surviving are six daughters, Linda Neff of Springfield, Va., Karen Crissman and her husband, Gordon, of Kittanning, Peggy Lipsius and her husband, Douglas, of Johnston City, Tenn., Tammy Neff of Chicora and Donna and Nancy Neff at home; four sons, Daniel Neff and his wife, Janice, of Butler, Donald Neff and his wife, Edna Mae, of Chicora and Kevin and Roy Neff at home; six grandchildren, Sheila, Danny and Curt Neff, Leslie and Matthew Lipsius and Roxanne Crissman; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Benson of Chicora.

Her husband, Elmer F. Neff, whom she married April 18, 1949, died May 27, 1999. As the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

<B>NEFF</B> — Friends of Lillian G. Neff, who died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at the <B>Steighner Funeral Home</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. There will be no visitation on Thanksgiving Day. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, North Oakland, with her nephews, the Rev. Richard Karenbauer and the Rev. Steven Neff, officiating.
