Lorena 'Enie' Mashuda

Lorena M. "Enie" Mashuda, 82, of Zelienople died Wednesday at St. John's Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Nov. 16, 1927, in Florence, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Jesse Lewis and Hazel Irene Beemon Holt.

Mrs. Mashuda was a faithful parishioner of St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Women's Club and served as an usher.

She was a gifted rosary and jewelry maker. As a member of Our Lady's Rosary Makers, she enjoyed teaching her skill to others. She also was a former member of Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and a seamstress for the Pasajeros Drum & Fife Corps in Cranberry Township during the 1960s and 1970s.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Zacherl and her husband, Walter, of Valencia, Carol Boice and her husband, William, of Evans City, and Susan Mashuda-Crissman of Zelienople; three sons, Gary Mashuda and his wife, Diane, of Cranberry Township, Duane "Mike" Mashuda and his wife, Pamela, of Zelienople, and Philip Mashuda and his wife, Linda, of Jacobus; and a sister, Norma Jones of Florence, Ky. She also is survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Mashuda, who died March 2, 2004, and a brother, Danny Holt.

<B>MASHUDA — </B>Friends of Lorena M. "Enie" Mashuda, who died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., today at the <B>GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME</B> in Cranberry Township, 130 Wisconsin Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. Burial will be in the Pinewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Cranberry Township.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Joseph P.
