2:27 p.m. Sunday - James Hilton, 79, of New Castle was taken by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after his motorcycle left Route 68 in Oakland Township and hit a guardrail. His condition is unknown. He was wearing a helmet.8:42 p.m. Saturday - Timmy J. Burns, 42, of Harrisville was severely injured after his truck ran off of Route 308 in Cherry Township and hit two telephone poles. He was taken by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital. His condition is unknown. Burns was not wearing a seat belt.6 p.m. Thursday - Bernice Silvis of Clinton Township reported that someone entered her home and took almost $3,000.1:15 a.m. Sept. 17 - Sean P. Barrett, 19, of Bruin and Jeffrey D. Lowers, 18, of Petrolia have been charged with making false reports to police and underage drinking.The two reportedly gave an adult male $20 at the County Line Bar in Clearfield Township to buy them alcohol. The male took the money, went into the bar and later came out without alcohol and did not return the boys' money.Barrett and Lowers reported the incident as a robbery to police.5:30 p.m. Sept. 13 - Price Anthony Riley, 18, of Pittsburgh and Rebecca Lee Bianco, 19, address unknown have been charged with taking a 24-inch television and a home theater system from the Cabot home of Joseph Zunic and Christine Murray.
11:30 p.m. Friday - A freightliner driven by Richard M. Zach, 39, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was westbound on Interstate 80 in Richland Township, Clarion County, when it left the road at a left-hand curve, crossing the berm before striking an embankment and rolling onto its side. The trailer's roof was torn open. Zach, who was wearing a seat belt, wasn't injured.
12:15 p.m. Saturday - Bruce Watson, 67, Butler, was not injured when he failed to stop at the "Road Closed" signs posted at state Route 1042 and 1037 in Cowanshannock Township and wrecked his motorcycle. Watson hit a construction sign causing his motorcycle to fall about 15 feet into a ditch, coming to rest against a bridge parapet that is under construction. He was cited for failing to stop at the "Road Closed" signs. Watson was wearing a helmet.5:40 p.m. Thursday - No one was injured in a three-car accident at Route 268 and the Franklin Village Mall in East Franklin Township.A car driven by Lucille Sloan, 77, of Worth pulled in front of a car driven by Richard Barker, 45, of Butler, who veered in an attempt to avoid the accident and hit a car driven by a 16-year-old from Ford City. That driver's name was scratched out on police reports.No charges have been filed.
2:55 a.m. Saturday - Rocky Darnell Hudson, 49, of 435 Flower Ave., Grove City, was stopped for a traffic violation on Route 62 near North Cottage Road in Jackson Township, and was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for driving under the influence and charges have been filed with District Judge Lawrence Silvis.
