Milner 65th anniversary

Jack and Margaret Milner

Jack and Margaret “Peggy” Milner of Valencia celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family party on Christmas Eve at the home of their daughter and son-in-law.

Milner married the former Peggy Schiffer on Jan. 3, 1954, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Franklin.

They have one daughter, Brenda (Rob) Foster of Butler.

They also have one grandson and three great-grandchildren.

Milner retired as a meat cutter for Riverside in 1995.

His passion for most of his life was riding and training horses. On his 85th birthday, his daughter surprised him with a ride on a horse called Geronimo for an afternoon.He enjoys reading and Western movies. He is a jack of all trades and loves making things with wood and any treasures he finds.Mrs. Milner had worked at Phillips Flowers and at a training center for the handicapped.She enjoys walks and spending time with her loyal and fun-loving dog, crafting, crochet and reading.The Milners have been members of St. Peter's Anglican Church in Butler for 23 years.
