Zelienople Historical Society will host its 22nd annual Christmas Home Tour on Saturday. Homes decorated in a variety of styles will be open for guests during the self-drive event that begins at 9 a.m. The $22 ticket price includes the tour and a catered luncheon featuring door prizes. The annual holiday train display at Thorn Creek United Methodist Church, 142 Rockdale Road, Jefferson Township, opens today and continues through Jan. 4. Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Fridays and noon to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Extended hours are planned for Dec. 28 through Jan. 4, when the display will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Soups, sandwiches, snacks and refreshments will be available. Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, has unveiled the Christmas season model railroad display and extended indefinitely a Flags of Freedom exhibit. Carnegie Science Center, North Side, has opened the Miniature Railroad & Village with its new addition, a model of the Buhl Planetarium & Observatory. Lionel Days continue through Jan. 1, and Locomotion Weekend will be Dec. 13 and 14. The center continues the exhibit “Blue!” through Jan. 1.
