Mars moves principals

Assignments are changed

ADAMS TWP — Three principals in the Mars School District will be switching assignments as the district makes administrative changes at the secondary education level.

Todd Kolson, who has been the high school principal since 2008, will move to the principal post at the middle school.

The middle school educates students in seventh and eighth grades.

Kolson joined the district in 2002 as an assistant principal at the high school. In 2007, he also was interim director of pupil services before being appointed high school principal.

Lindsay Rosswog, who is the assistant principal at the high school, will become the school’s principal.

Dale Sleva, acting principal at the middle school, will move back to assistant principal at the high school.

Sleva moved last year to the principal position at the middle school on a one-year trial basis. He was formerly an assistant principal at the high school.

Superintendent Wesley Shipley said the administrative move will be an improvement.

“I am a firm believer in making the most of my resources and maximizing the strengths of my staff,” Shipley said. “I am confident that all three of these moves will benefit the entire district in the long run.”

At the start of the school year, former middle school principal Todd Lape was moved to the district’s primary center.

Former primary school principal Adam Kostewicz was switched at that time to the middle school.
