Miller 100th birthday
Clair Miller of Portersville will celebrate his 100th birthday with a May 4 open house at Betsy’s Barn at Cheeseman’s Farm in Portersville.
He was born March 22, 1919, in Adrian.
He married Marjorie McElwain on Nov. 17, 2001, in Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church, Rose Point.
He was formerly married to the late Jean Moore of Portersville.
He has two children, Glee (Richard) Miller of Cookeville, Tenn., and stepdaughter Julie (Mark) Maurer of North Versailles.
He also has three grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Miller retired from Sharon Steel in 1957.
He served in the Pacific with the Navy Seabees during World War II.
He has been a member of the Masons for 55 years. He is a former justice of the peace and notary public. He was an avid hunter and has traveled to all 50 states in the United States.
He attends Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church.
