Robert and Betty Danner

Robert and Betty Danner of Valencia celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Hardwood Cafe in Penn Township.

Danner married the former Betty Park on March 12, 1954, at Valencia Presbyterian Church.

They are the parents of David Danner of Saxonburg, Craig Danner of Valencia and Valerie Danner of Valencia. A son, Jeffrey Danner, is deceased.

They also have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Danner was employed 12 years by the Gulf Oil Co. before opening Danner’s Gulf Station in Butler. A 20-year professional in home construction, he worked for H.P. Starr and Sons Lumber Co. in Cooperstown before retiring.

He is a 32nd Degree Mason in the John E. Mair Lodge in Mars and a past member of the Butler Notables.

Mrs. Danner worked as a teller at the former Bakerstown Savings and Loan and at Farmers’ Bank in Pittsburgh.

She is a member of the Mars Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

The Danners are members of the Valencia Presbyterian Church.
