Lester Elliott Jr.

Lester Elliott Jr. of Renfrew celebrated his 90th birthday with a family dinner given by his children at the Butler Country Club.

He was born May 20, 1929, in Chicora.

He married Antoinette DeRose on Oct. 23, 1971. They have been married 48 years.

He has three children, the late Rodger Elliott, Deborah Elliott of Archdale, N.C., and Lester Elliott III of Prospect.

He also has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He enjoys working on his farm; spending time with his grandchildren; his dog, Jingles; and Sunday drives to Chicora.

Eliott is the founder of Elliott’s Tire and is still active in the business.
