Sefcik 53rd anniversary
Al and Joan Sefcik of Butler will celebrate 53 years of marriage with a fall trip in Sefcik's 1963 Plymouth Fury, the same car they drove to their honeymoon in Niagara Falls.
Sefcik married the former Joan Schmidt on July 24, 1964, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Butler.
They have two children, Gregory of Las Vegas and Kristen of Richmond, Va.
Sefcik retired as an auto technician from Country Motors after 31 years. He currently works part time delivering car parts for Advanced Auto.
He is a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, where he serves on the Altar Guild.He enjoys cowboy action shooting, fishing and his Plymouth.Mrs. Sefcik retired from the OB Department of Butler Memorial Hospital where she worked as a RN.She is a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, where she serves as an altar guide.She enjoys Bible study with friends at Hope House, quilting, machine embroidery and flower gardens.
