Helen Welsh Ward celebrated her 100th birthday Aug. 18. She moved to Concordia’s Lund Care Center in Personal Care three years ago.

Born in Natrona Heights, Ward was married to Jack Linfoot.

Ward had seven children, Kathy of Freeport, James, John and Christine of the East End of Pittsburgh, Judy and Jeffrey of Sarver and the late Dan; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was a nurse at Allegheny Valley Hospital and also did private duty nursing before she retired.

She is a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot.
