Ernest Jr. and Jane Kemper

Ernest Jr. and Jane Kemper of Butler will celebrate 65 years of marriage with a picnic in the summer.

The former Jane Gerstner married Kemper Feb. 7, 1942, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have six children, Daniel Kemper of Barboursville, Va.; William Kemper of Butler; Ernest Kemper III of Hermitage; Joseph Kemper of Kittanning; Margaret DeMask of Wilmington, N.C.; and Mary Purdy of Slippery Rock.

They also have 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Kemper is the former owner of Kemper Parts and Machine in Butler.

Mrs. Kemper is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, where Kemper serves as a Eucharistic minister.
