Barry and Karen Fowler

Barry and Karen Fowler of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a small reception for family and friends Aug. 24.

Fowler married the former Karen Perkins on Aug. 30, 1969, at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church in New Castle.

They have three children, Laura Shandick of Butler, Lonnie Fowler of Nashville, Tenn., and Lindon Fowler of Grove City.

They also have eight grandchildren.

Fowler retired from the City of Butler as a firefighter.

Mrs. Fowler is a retired nurse.

The Fowlers attend the North Main Street Church of God in Butler.
