DeArmitt 70th anniversary
Jerry and Ada DeArmitt of Butler will celebrate 70 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Chestnut Grove Recreation Center, 100 Ridgemont Drive.
DeArmitt married the former Ada Powell on Sept. 17, 1949, by her great-uncle, the Rev. Coleman, at the home of her parents in Johnstown.
They have three children, Teresa (Keith) Snell of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Duane (Patti) DeArmitt of Bellefonte and Bonnie (Alan) Peffer of Connoquenessing.They also have nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.DeArmitt is the former owner of the K&L Motel and Trailer Court in Butler.Mrs. DeArmitt is a homemaker and the former owner of the K&L Motel and Trailer Court in Butler.The DeArmitts are members of First United Methodist Church in Butler.
