Gertrude L. "Gert" Wallace Jones, 61, of Butler passed away at 10 a.m. Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born April 28, 1947, in Clay Township. She was the daughter of the late James Patrick Wallace and the late Josephine Sylvia Anderson Wallace.

She retired from Valley Community Services.

She is survived by two daughters, Dawn L. Wheeler of Karns City and Tammy J. Jones of West Sunbury; two sons, David Jones of Butler and Nick Hilliard of Slippery Rock; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Isaiah (Esther) Williams of Butler and Mrs. John Henry (Judy) Williams of Butler; and five brothers, James Wallace of Butler, Clarence "Shoes" Wallace of Slippery Rock, Gary "Ding" Wallace of Butler, George Wallace of Clintonville and Douglas Wallace of Butler.

She was preceded in death by five brothers.

<B>JONES </B> Friends of Gertrude L. "Gert" Wallace Jones, who died Sunday, April 26, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday at <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert V. Mathias of Concord Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Mount Varnum Cemetery.
