Jack and Janet Barger of Petrolia celebrated 55 years of marriage with a family dinner Oct. 5 at the Runway Restaurant in Butler.

Barger married the former Janet McMillin on Oct. 3, 1953, at the Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church in Chicora.

They have two children, Randy Barger of Petrolia and Carol Daubenspeck of Renfrew. An infant son is deceased.

They also have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Barger is retired.

Mrs. Barger is a homemaker.

The couple are members of the Fairview United Presbyterian Church.
