Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia, will host a free Youth Bereavement Care Event from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Mansion, 141 Mansion Lane.

The event, titled “Pumpkins, Leaves, and Copper Trees,” will be a fall festival-themed workshop for children who are managing the death of a loved one, as well as their caregivers.

Attendees can participate in pumpkin painting and other fun activities to form bonds with other families that have also experienced the death of a loved one, and special breakout sessions will be held for the adults. Refreshments will be provided for all attendees.
