Janet and William Shaffer

William and Janet Shaffer of Cranberry Township celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.

Shaffer married the former Janet Brasco on May 14, 1960, at Ascension Roman Catholic Church in Jeannette.

They have three children, Dina (Shaffer) Rigot of Carnegie; Jeff Shaffer of Shermansdale; and Marcie (Shaffer) Peaco of Zelienople.

They also have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Shaffer is a retired state police officer/detective.

He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

Mrs. Shaffer is a retired dental assistant and takes part in Comfort Blankets at St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church, Cranberry Township.

They attend St. Ferdinand Church.
