Slingluff 70th anniversary
Jim and Jean Slingluff of Passavant Community, Zelienople, celebrated 70 years of marriage Sunday by attending Oak Grove Church in Beaver County where they were married 70 years ago to the day, followed by a family dinner.
Slingluff married the former Jean Vodenichar on June 21, 1950, at Oak Grove Church in Beaver County.
They are the parents of three children, Joyce (Edward John) Wilbur of Pittsburgh, Dorothy (Marion Lang) Slingluff of Charlottesville, Va., and the late Jim Slingluff of Tucson, Ariz.
They also have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Slingluff is a retired Lutheran pastor and social worker.Mrs. Slingluff is a homemaker.They are both active in the community.He is past president of Passavant Community.They both volunteer to make plastic mats for the homeless.
