Boarts 90th birthday
A. Maxine Boarts of Renfrew will celebrate her 90th birthday with a car parade from noon to 2 p.m. July 11 at the gazebo near the Brandywine clubhouse.
The former A. Maxine Waine was born July 11, 1930, in Springdale. She married Ross Graham Boarts on Nov. 4, 1949, at the family home in Kittanning. He died Nov. 14, 1980.
She is the mother of three children. Denise (Boarts) Criley of Renfrew, Gary G. Boarts of Butler, and the late D. Christopher Boarts.
She also has three granddaughters, one grandson, five great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Mrs. Boarts worked for West Penn Power in Kittanning and as a bookkeeper for the family business.
She was the past district deputy and member of Butler Chapter 45, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Realtors Association of Butler.
She enjoys mahjong, cross-stitch, knitting, reading and travel.
She is a member of Grace @ Calvary Church.
