Chris and George Plofchan

George A. and Chris L. Plofchan of East Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a picnic with close friends and family Aug. 23.

Plofchan married the former Chris Cuny on Aug. 29, 1970, at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have two children, Barb (Eric) Stephenson of East Butler and Jason (Tracey) Plofchan, also of East Butler.

They also have four grandchildren.

Mr. Plofchan is employed by East Butler Borough.

He is a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, the East Butler Firemen’s Club, American Legion Post 117, the RC Men’s Club and the Fire & Irons MC.

Mrs. Plofchan is a housewife.

She is a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church and the East Butler Firemen’s Club.
