Hutchinson 90th birthday
Peggy Hutchinson, of Butler, will celebrate her 90th birthday March 24. Her family asks her friends to help her remember this day by sending her a card or a note. If you have an old photo, news article or story about her life, you are asked to include it.

The former Peggy Curtin was born March 24, 1931, in Tulsa, Okla.
She went to St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Ind.
She met Jim Hutchinson on a blind date in 1951. They have not been apart since.
They married on Thanksgiving 1954 in the Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Tulsa, Okla.
They have eight children, Jack Hutchinson, Penn Township, Dick (Andrea) Hutchinson, Melbourne Beach, Fla.; Joan (Frank) Ferraro, Butler; Dan (Gail) Hutchinson. Eden Prairie, Minn.; Jim Hutchinson Jr., Washington, D.C.; Steve (Lorraine) Hutchinson, Butler; Annie (Kelly) Hutchinson, Butler and Peggy (Bob) Lang, Parkville, Md.
She also has 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She has been socially and politically active in Butler since moving here in 1954.
She worked on and off at the family dry cleaning business, Hutchinson’s Dry Cleaners, started in 1926 by Jim Hutchinson’s father Gordon.
She was the head dietitian at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the late 1960s and 1970s.
She was active in Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, Middlesex Township.
Butler Mayor Benjamin Smith has proclaimed her birthday as “Hutchinson’s Dry Cleaners Day.”
The proclamation reads, in part, “While celebrating Hutchinson’s Dry Cleaners’ 95th anniversary be sure to wish the owners a happy birthday as well. Mrs. Peggy Hutchison will celebrate her 90th birthday on March 24 and Mr. Jim Hutchinson will celebrate his 90th birthday on April 27.”
