12:06 a.m. Saturday - Tammy Duffield, 33, was arrested after allegedly assaulting her 14-year-old daughter and 37-year-old boyfriend during a domestic dispute at her Brugh Avenue home. Duffield was arraigned on two counts of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.9:50 a.m. Thursday - Joanne Elphinstone, 53, of Allison Park was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car struck the rear of another car, driven by Elisabeth Oesterling, 44, of Jefferson Township, at Hansen Avenue and Renaissance Drive.The collision forced Oesterling's vehicle into the rear of a car driven by Harlen Pifer, 82, of Reynoldsville, Jefferson County. Oesterling, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with unknown injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.12:45 p.m. Wednesday - Two men were arrested after one of them allegedly took a purse from a vehicle at the Diamond Street parking lot.An Armstrong Cable Services employee spotted the theft and gave police description of the thief and the getaway car. Officers, assisted by state police and police in Middlesex and Penn townships, found the suspects' car in Middlesex Township. The defendants were found a short time later at the Butler County Courthouse.Police also found the purse, which was returned to its owner.Calvin Earl Jones, 19, of Middlesex Township is charged with theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property; Carmen Namie Jr., 18, of Adams Township is charged with driving with a suspended license.

3:58 a.m. Sunday - Ira Gerhart, 20, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle got stuck in a ditch on Hooker Road in Clay Township.7:20 p.m. Saturday - A Beaver County man was injured when his motorcycle crashed on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.William Dimond, 35, of Freedom, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken with moderate injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition this was not known this morning.Police said Dimond lost control of his motorcycle when the vehicle's drive shaft locked up.4:45 p.m. Saturday - Cars driven by Kent Uber, 18, of Grove City and Brittany Osborne, 20, of Slippery Rock collided on Route 528 in Brady Township. Uber was cited for illegally entering or crossing the road.7 a.m. Saturday - A pickup truck driven by Derek Michael, 22, no address given, struck several trees along Shearer Road in Oakland Township. Michael, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. He was cited for undisclosed traffic violations.12:50 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Stephanie Clouse, 18, of Butler struck a utility pole along Rockdale Road in Jefferson Township.Saturday - Undisclosed prescription medicine was taken between Thursday and Saturday at the Jamisonville Road home of Vicki Adams in Center Township.1:28 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Kelley Balentine, 25, of Valencia and a pickup truck driven by Kimberly Hilliard, 38, of Penn Township collided on Valencia Road in Forward Township. Balentine was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

July 21 - Camping equipment, tools and compact discs were taken July 20 or 21 from two units at a West Main Street Extension storage business in Pine Township, Mercer County. Angela Hart of Grove City and Harry Kiester of Mercer own the stolen property, valued at $2,196.
