RELIGIOUS ROUNDUP

BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

The Adult Night Out dinner for members of Butler Church of The Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hardwood Café. For reservations, call Gordon and Kathy Thompson.

Members of the Caravan Kids Club will meet at 10:20 a.m. Sunday. Participants should wear uniforms and scarves.

CHRIST COMMUNITY U.M.

Bridge Sunday will be observed at the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road. Music will be performed by the children's choirs.

Today is the final day to register for the annual United Methodist Men's gathering at Faith United Methodist Church in Delmont. Cost is $15 and includes a light breakfast and lunch.

Students in the third grade will be presented with Bibles at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday services.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Debbie Price and Sue Reinhart will provide music at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave.

A harvest dinner will be held after the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday. Cost for the dinner is the donation of a non-perishable food item.

Flu shots scheduled for Saturday and Sunday have been postponed. The event will be rescheduled.

COMMUNITY ALLIANCE

Missionary Sundays at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, will be held Sunday and Oct. 24. A guest missionary will visit the Sunday morning and evening services on these days.

COVENANT PRESBY

Dale Allison of the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will speak to the Seekers Class Sunday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.

Donations of vitamins and over-the-counter medications are needed for Karen Swanson's trip to Russia in November.

Handbell choir rehearsals will begin at 6 p.m. Oct. 21.

FIRST BAPTIST

Members of the Kingdom Seekers Sunday school class at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will meet at 4 p.m. Saturday at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Slippery Rock, for a hay ride, campfire activities and a devotional. Participants should take a dish to share.

GLADE RUN U.P.

A potluck dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m.

All women's Bible study classes will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

The Meals on Wheels volunteer recognition luncheon will be held Wednesday. For information, call 724-898-0080.

The Beaver-Butler Presbyterian Women will hold their fall gathering from 9:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the church. Participants should take a sack lunch. Salad and beverages will be provided.

GRACE LUTHERAN

A blended service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church, 220-226 New Castle St. The service will integrate parts of the liturgical and contemporary services.

A Golden Ager luncheon will be held after the 11 a.m. Sunday service. The luncheon is open to the congregation and will honor elder members.

HILL U.P.

Consecration Weekend will be observed this weekend at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. Contemporary music and worship will be featured at the 6 p.m. Saturday service and a pie social will follow the Sunday service.

Sign-ups are now available for the children's Halloween party to be held from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Oct. 30. The event is open to children age 4 through grade 4.

Orders are now being accepted for God's Creation calendars. Cost is $8 for each calendar and proceeds will benefit youth mission trips.

Youth of the church who plan to participate in the Christmas musical on Dec. 19 should contact Kathy Sawyer before Oct. 27.

MUDDY CREEK U.P.

Muddy Creek United Presbyterian Church, 341 Muddy Creek Drive, will host its first Kidzone gathering from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday. The event is open to all ages and dinner will be served.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

The middle school and senior high youth groups of New Life Christian Ministries, Knoch Senior High School, 345 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, will meet for a capture the flag evening from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the home of Justin Kovach and Tyler Kovach, 189 Love Road, Valencia. NORTH MAIN ST. CHURCH OF GOD

A special rehearsal for the Living Christmas Tree choir will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main Street Ext.

OLD UNION PRESBY

John Wray, capital campaign consultant, will present recommendations on financial stewardship from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and Oct. 21 at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars.

Volunteers are needed for the Junior Church program.

The Missions Committee is seeking volunteers to help maintain contact with the Christian Commission for Development.

Members of St. John's United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City, will participate in the Crop Walk at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.

Oct. 24 has been designated "Bring a Friend Sunday."

Members who plan to prepare dinner for the Neighborhood Academy should meet at the church no later than 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

ST. PETER'S EPISCOPAL

A new adult education class will meet from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Sunday in the Guild Room at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 218 E. Jefferson St.

ST. RICHARD R.C.

The Respect for Life committee of St. Richard Roman Catholic Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, will host a "Chip in for Life" cookie sale following all Masses Saturday and Sunday.

The men's group will sponsor a family hayride and bonfire at 6 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments will be provided.

Bishop Donald Wuerl will visit for Confirmation during the Mass at noon Sunday. A reception will follow in the social hall. Rehearsal for confirmation will be held at 7 p.m. today. There will be no evening faith formation or life teen programs on Sunday.

There will be no faith formation classes Tuesday through Oct. 21.

The Little Rock Scripture Study will begin Wednesday. Sessions will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Nov. 3 and 17. Those who ordered pies from the King's Daughters group can pick them up on Saturday in the fellowship hall.

A parenting workshop will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the church. The session is open to parents of children in preschool or elementary school.

TRINITY PRESBY

Volunteers from Trinity Presbyterian Church, 107 Staley Ave., will serve the community meal from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church.

The youth group will host a car wash in the church parking lot on Oct. 23.

Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. Oct. 25 to serve at the Covenant Food Cupboard.
