8:26 a.m. Jan. 11 - Rebecca Popinski, 22, of Evans City reported her vehicle was broken into while parked on Magill Road. Among the items taken were a compact disc player, credit cards, a purse, hair dressing equipment, $10 cash and other items.1:38 p.m. Jan. 9 - Randy Knauff, 48, of 137 Terrace Lane, Jackson Township, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at Route 19 and Gudekunst Road.
8:05 p.m. Sunday - A vehicle driven by Eugene Francis Mammone, 55, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, slid off snow-covered Pine Street, traveled over a sidewalk and struck a utility pole.6:22 a.m. Jan. 11 - Dave Shaffer of Harmony reported someone overnight stole a compound bow and four arrows valued at $800 from his truck at his South Pittsburgh Street.7:19 a.m. Jan. 11 - Kip Hoffman of Harmony reported four Dicks Sporting Goods gift cards valued at $240.36 were stolen from a truck parked near his Center Street home.8:15 a.m. Jan. 11 - Max Hayes reported a $300 Sony amplifier, 35 compact discs valued at $630 and speakers valued at $500 were taken from a car at his East New Castle Street home.He later discovered his sister's vehicle, also parked at his home, had more than $350 worth of stereo equipment stolen.8:25 a.m. Jan. 11 - A Harmony Street Department employee reported that two windows on a borough garage door on Mercer Street were broken, possibly by a BB gun.9:30 a.m. Jan. 11 - John Richard Moyer Sr. of 558 Slippery Rock reported compact discs, stereo and a CD case valued at more than $1,300 were taken from his vehicle parked on East New Castle Street.10:15 a.m. Jan. 11 - Trevor Cooper of East New Castle Street reported the passenger side window of his vehicle was broken in an attempted theft; however, nothing was missing from the vehicle parked in front of his home.1:10 p.m. Jan. 11 - Bruce Wolf reported someone broke into his vehicle overnight at his First Street home and took compact discs, poker chips, sunglasses and cash valued at more than $260.5:50 p.m. Jan. 11 - Naomi Kirkpatrick reported an attempted theft of her vehicle's stereo and the theft of 20 music compact discs while the vehicle was parked at her South Liberty Street residence. The damage to the stereo and the stolen CDs are valued at more than $250.Jan. 10 - Patricia Lynn Sutkowski of Zelienople reported her vehicle was damaged while parked in the rear lot of Nino's Pizza on North Main Street. The vehicle sustained a broken rear tail light and bumper and paint damage.
9 a.m. Tuesday - A car driven by M. Ralph Mura, 59, of Industry, Beaver County, skidded off ice-covered Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township, struck a guardrail, rolled over and traveled down an embankment. Mura, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with unknown injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.8:58 a.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Mary McGuigan, 24, of Wexford and a pickup truck driven by Thomas Price, 58, of Coraopolis, Allegheny County, collided on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. McGuigan was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Tuesday - Police reported Paul Roth was charged with bad checks after attempting to cash a bogus check Dec. 21 at the First National Bank in Portersville.4:18 p.m. Monday - A car driven by Jeffrey Eberhardt, no age given, of Prospect slid on snow-covered Kirk Road at Edna Lane in Muddy Creek Township and collided with a mini-van driven by Joseph Piorkowski, no age given, of Prospect.Eberhardt, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Monday - A car driven by Kelly Swanberg, 18, of Saxonburg struck a tree along Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township. Swanberg, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.Monday - Amanda Eppinger of Butler reported someone between 5 and 8:40 p.m. took a purse from her unlocked vehicle at the Clearview Mall parking lot in Center Township.Sunday - Someone between 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. broke the window of a car and took a wallet at the Evans City Road home of Michael Hack in Connoquenessing Township.Jan. 11 - A Fender Stratolaster guitar and other musical equipment were taken between 2 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. in a burglary at the Browns Mill Road home of John Gettman and John Edward in Forward Township. The property is valued at $1,170. Police have a suspect in the burglary.Jan. 11 - Several Xbox games were taken between 3 a.m. and 9 p.m. from the Raefel Lane home of Jason Gettman in Forward Township. Police have a suspect in the theft.6 p.m. Jan. 10 - Cars driven by Sara Pajer, 18, of Sarver and Louise Emmett, 69, of Butler collided on Route 8 in Center Township. Both drivers, wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries. Pajer was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.
