Virginia Burdick Christy, 80, of Lake Worth, Fla., died Oct. 11.

She was born July 26, 1929, in Grove City, the daughter of Fred and Velma McCune Burdick of Hilliards.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Stewart of Boynton Beach, Fla., Sandy Nelson of Greensboro, N.C., Beth (Marty) Doring of Gainesville, Fla., and Bob (Donna) Christy of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Rider, Vivian DeSantis, Ruth Dietz and Diane Kosick, all of Western Pennsylvania; and sisters-in-law Patricia Burdick, Joan (Robert) Angert and Ruth (Frank) Pontera.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and by a brother, William.

<B>CHRISTY</B> — A memorial service for Virginia Christy, who died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hilliards Methodist Church with Rev. James Fisher officiating.
