Symphony will offer 'Veterans Day Salute'
The Butler County Symphony continues the 68th season with a “Veterans Day Salute” on Saturday at Butler Intermediate High School, 551 Fairground Hill Road.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with a pre-concert lecture at 6:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The Butler symphony, under the direction of maestro Matthew Kraemer, will perform themes from “Victory at Sea,” “Barber's Adagio for Strings,” “Hymn to the Fallen” from “Saving Private Ryan,” and the “Armed Forces Salute.”
The symphony also will debut the Butler Symphony's Community Choir, under the direction of husband and wife Bryan and Heather Helsel, which will be performing with the orchestra throughout the evening.
The symphony invites all veterans to attend in uniform to be recognized for their service.
Tickets are available at the symphony's office located at 259 S. Main St., Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets also are available online at www.butlersymphony.org.
